Scam!

Yesterday, I went to KLCC to hand over the keys for MCOT (Miri Crude Oil Terminal) project of PETRONAS Carigali. It was short and brief meeting with the representative of PCSB and the keys changed hand. Since the sky of KL was overcast and I went there by motorcycle, I decided to take a walk around KL before going back to the office.

I called Hazmi for a lunch and he agreed to meet at Midvalley Megamall. So, I went out of KLCC and go to Midvalley by LRT and then changed to KTM Komuter from KL Sentral to Midvalley. We agreed to meet because he was with his girlfriend, Shera and she is a good friend of mine too. Both of them are currently pursuing Electrical & Electronic Engineering in Japan so the chance to meet them should not be missed.

I bought CHIP Magazine from Kinokuniya KLCC to fill up my time on the LRT. I saw an empty seat next to an African guy and sit beside him. Then he warmly greeted me and we shook hand. So, we had quite a conversation and he introduced himself as an Accountancy student from UTM and hails from South Africa. His name is Hafeez and we talked about his 8-months life in Malaysia and praised UTP for the academic excellence and his South African student there, bla bla bla... >>Fast forward. Suddenly he asked me for RM10 with the name of Islamic fraternity and brotherhood. Hah! I've expected this so I refused him nicely and went out of the train when I reached KL Sentral. Sometimes, we need to be suspicious of people around us and we already heard bad things about the Africans in Malaysia. He might be true about seeking help but I have to keep myself away from unwanted risks. This is another good experience for me and I feel more confident to roam KL alone. The key is, never take yourself to the secluded place (back alleys, place with no people around etc.) alone and always be cautious with the people we don't know.

Cendol

Cendol legend

Hurm... tak tau nak buat ape hari ni, so aku fikir boleh isi masa nak update blog. Hari ini agak lapang tambahan pula aku dengan Zopak dah kena ban dengan orang yard. Hahahaa... Takpe, aku dah penat buat kerja kat yard yang sememangnya luar dari skop internship aku. Huhuhu...

So, aku nak share tentang one of specialties kat Banting ni.

Waterloo

It is interesting to see how God arranged our life. There are ups and downs, for sure. And He tested us with variety of trials and challenges with one good intention: To see us grow and being wiser than we were before. But, depending on how we take it, sometime this good God intention can backfire us and knock us off balance. It is called GRUDGE or DENDAM. So, this is the ultimate test for us to measure how well-balance we are and how healthy our mind is. It is crucial for us to think RATIONALLY and take things positively. You might think that people is being unfair to you and lose the game. You are wrong! Mould your heart and soul as hard as steel, then you can see things clearly that you are not losing. The enemy is not other people, but yourself.

That is why we have to build our inner strength and wipe grudge of ourselves. To be frank, I was once in this kind of situation. It is undeniably hard for me to digest it though, but with patience, I finally see the beauty of how God arranges our life. It finally paid off. Allah sentiasa bersama dengan orang-orang yang sabar.

I will make sure that people will swallow the words they had uttered to me before. With somebody’s spouses? Oh God, gimme a break! Thanks to all my friends for your support and encouragement. Your hard works paid off guys! I really appreciate that. Now, I just have to rearrange myself and be a more positive-minded individual. Insya Allah.

p/s: I feel like I win when I lose~

Happy Birthday!

I think this adorable lass hails from Kedah should deserve to be featured on this blog. Bearing name of Nurazlin Zakaria, I've been knowing her since 1st year in UTP. A happy and cheerful yet practical and and have sharp thinking woman (ko dah tue ok, not a girl anymore :P). Currently undergoing her internship at Alcatel-Lucent, KL. And today, she turns 22. Happy birthday my friend! I hope you will lead a successful yet prosperous life in the future. Be a year maturer, and year wiser. Thanks for all assistance to me and I will never forget that. Friends forever! :)

This pix was taken at a Kopitiam, proudly showing her boyfriends in the background. :P

Rangkuman Minggu Lepas

This can be considered a crappy post so I hope you can forgive me for that. Hehehe.

I finally managed to procure my ‘dream’ phone, Nokia 5320 at last! Itu pon setelah OT xhengat dan claim travel yang agak banyak. RM 760 changed hand for this Symbian 3rd Edition Series 60 phone with 4 GB microSD card 3G Phone. Habis dalam masa 15 minit sahaje. Huhuhu~ Xpela, dapat jua akhirnya.

The packaging, lain dari yang lain

Front

Back

My dad’s Waja is finally out of the workshop last two weeks. Back as new, without my dad’s student artwork since the bonnet had been replaced with a new one. So the outlook has really changed. I am very glad! Huhuhu~

Free from scratches and 'artworks'

Newly replaced headlamps, bumper and bonnet

Taken using my Nokia 5320 XM phone on highest resolution

p/s: Sorry for the crappy post. :P

Something that is near to the truth about myself

I did this survey on http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx and I found that the result is something that is very closely describing myself. Interesting! Thanks to Sakinah for the address. Hehehe~

Your view on yourself:

Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education

You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self:

You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

p/s: Tgu je la update psl minggu lepas ek. Hehehe~ Owh, aku da try iPhone, Hazmi punye smalam, mnarek gak la~ Like the interface.

The birth of F9JT-A genset for Kumang Cluster

I would like to apologize to my fellow reader that I have skipped to this week's happening where I have not fulfill my promise to bring you the last week happenings. But don't worry, I will post that up ASAP as I have all the materials available for posting. Just wait for it ya!

The highlight is the birth of F9JT-A 108kWe / 135 kVA @ 0.8 p.f diesel emergency generator set last Tuesday at SG Fabrication yard in Jalan Kebun. This genset is for PETRONAS's Kumang Cluster Development projects and were delivered to the client on the same day. I consider this as my first 'baby' since I was directly involved in the development of this Cummins engine powered genset from ground up. But this baby is the 'masterpiece' of 3 lads including me, Zopak and Zul. So it is like Mamma Mia movie situation. Hahahha~

F9JT-A 108 kWe genset

The engine is from Cummins, being able to deliver a maximum power of 162 HP driving a four pole Leroy Somer synchronous generator. This baby passed our FAT (factory acceptance test) effortlessly with record of running at 110% load for 2 hours without hiccup. I feel very happy since I'm one of the development team for this genset. My overtime works really paid off.

The daddies. From left: Me, Zul and Zopak

Next week, we will be working on assembling the next genset with the same power rating and specifications bearing the tag of KUJT-A for the same project. For Kumang Cluster, PETRONAS ordered three DEG from us with 2 of them are 108 kWe using Cummins engine and a 1200 kWe powered by MTU engine. I hope I can complete these projects without much problems with the help of my fellow colleague at SGPS. :)
